Denture Care is one of the Responsibility of a Caregiver,there are vital task that a Caregiver must to be taking
into account in his/her day to day and night to night task and duties in regards to taking care of the patient denture,one of the vital thing that must to be in mind at all times is, don't wrapped the denture in a toilet tissue or disposable wipes,because this would likely to be thrown away,it is recommended that dentures must be stored in water to prevent from drying,if the patient will go to bed,a Caregiver must to use a disposable denture cup because it is convenient and easy to use,if the patient is unable to take care of its own denture,Caregiver is responsible to keep it clean at all times,when cleaning dentures,the Caregiver should hold it over a basin of water or over a soft towel,this step would prevent denture of slipping from his/her grasp,and it will not fall onto a hard surface that would result of breakage of the denture,warm water must to be used to cleanse the denture,use of a nonabrasive and brush with toot paste or brushing with a toothpaste is a good step to make too,keep in mind that rinsing well with warm water after each cleaning,as a Caregiver,the care of patient denture should be often exercised in a careful manner,preventing the denture to be break due to falling to hard surface,and always remember that denture is part of the patient precious and necessity in his/her daily routine,always be responsible not to loss or damage the denture,because denture is considered a financial investment of the patient,damaging or losing it would be expensive in acquiring new one.
