Exercise routine for the elderly patient is very helpful and
such as walking,or a simple stretching,could be very helpful for
the health of the elderly patient,and take note,that when the
elderly patient is doing the light stretching,you must always at all times
to accompanied the elderly patient,specially when walking,don't
ever let the patient be alone,always make it a habit for the patient
that,in whatever the patient will do or doing,specially when walking
or standing,whether outdoor or indoor at home,always bear in mind
that always stay beside the patient closer,and holding the patient
for support,either the arm of the patient or shoulder, while standing
or walking, and if you'll do something,let the patient sit,and you can
do the things,near the patient,such as preparing medication or meal
for the patient and etc.
As a caregiver,always convince the patient daily,and set a time for
the exercise or whenever the convenient time available for both of
you as a caregiver and the elderly patient,to give the exercise for the
patient,in this ways and simple task as caregiver,you promoting a
good health habit for the patient to do an exercise daily.
in addition,its always depending on what kind of a patient
that the caregiver is taking care of,is always depending on the
mobilities of the elderly patient,and as a caregiver, always be creative
to find ways on what is the best possible exercise that fits the patient
ability, and on what exercises that suit for the elderly patient mobility.
light exercises is good for the elderly patient,and walking,is good
exercise for the elderly patient.
take note, that if you see that the senior patient is tired of walking,
take a rest for a couple of minutes by sitting,and give the patient
to drink water,bear in mind as a caregiver,before you engage the
patient in walking exercise always be sure always,that you have
a bottle of water with you, for the patient to drink,because this
help the patient to ease tiredness,and regain liquid to the patient
body due to sweating,
There are different kinds of exercises for a different kinds of patient,
and the goal is to maintained or whether improved the good health
of the patient,and in fact,good health benefits of exercising,such as
walking,light exercise and stretching,keeps the blood circulation
normal,and its good for the heart as well.
List of Exercises that good for elderly patient are:
- Walking, ( good for the heart,specially for the elderly patient )
- chess games,( brain exercises to stimulate the mind of theelder or senior patient).
- Poker or card games,also mind games such as puzzle games,and regular reading,such as news papers or magazines, andwhat's that interest the patient to read, favorite books thatthe patient likes. ( mind stimulation benefit or brain exercise )
- light stretching, ( blood stimulation or circulation )such as,letting the patient to raise up and down the hand,alternate,the left and the right hand. Towards up the headof the patient,(10x in each hand daily) illustration draw shown

and in sitting position,let the patient raise the foot in up anddown motion,alternate left and right foot. Towards the levelof the chair seat,and keeping it straight and don't fold the knee.(10x in each foot daily). Illustration draw shown below, the
